NGA members have the opportunity to display their work during the Newmarket National Ten Minute Play Festival this summer. The festival is producing 24 original Canadian plays submitted from across the country and from Canadians living around the world. Both the NNPF and the accompanying NGA group art show will take place at the Newmarket Old Town Hall July 22-28, 2019.
This year, the NNPF has asked the NGA to provide a show that compliments the themes of this year’s plays. All 24 plays are divided in four main thematic groupings, and then tickets are sold for “pods” of six plays that feature the same theme. Artists are invited to submit work that fits one of the four themes of this year’s festival.
About the themes: The line between each word in each them is not a /. A / denotes an either or context or an implied relationship. A | indicates that the words are collocated so that they can take on multiple meanings given different grammatical relationships.
